Michael bringt die Tangomusik zum Leben. Er ist führender Experte der Musik der Goldenen Epoche des Tango. Als geborener Erzähler, lässt er mit vielen Anekdoten aus dem Leben der Musiker seine Seminare zu lebendiger Geschichte werden. Seine Workshops sind mitreißend, unterhaltsam und informativ. Sie erschließen den musikalischen Reichtum des Tango nicht nur für Musikliebhaber sondern besonders für Tänzerinnen und Tänzer.
Während der Pandemie veranstaltete Michael zusammen mit Dag Stenvoll einen regelmäßigen Online-Workshop „Tango by Year“ der hunderte Zuhörende erreichte.
Neben seinem Buch „Tango Geschichten“ sind in seiner Reihe „Tango Meister“ inzwischen auch „Aníbal Troilo“ , „Osvaldo Pugliese“ , „Carlos Di Sarli“, „Juan D’Arienzo“ und „Francisco Canaro“ erschienen.

Michael brings tango music to life. A leading expert on the music of tango’s Golden Age, he is also a natural raconteur. In his seminars he connects the dancers with the musicians who created this beautiful music by telling their stories and explaining the relationship between their lives and their music. His workshops are captivating, entertaining and informative. They open up the musical treasures of Tango Music not only for music enthusiasts but especially for dancers.
During the pandemic he had regular online-workshop with Dag Stenvoll „Tango by Year“ that reached hundreds of listeners.
Besides his book „Tango Stories“ he published five more books in his series „Tango Master“, „Aníbal Troilo“ , „Osvaldo Pugliese“, „Carlos Di Sarli“, „Juan D’Arienzo“ and „Francisco Canaro“

In this talk we present the extraordinary life and career of Osvaldo Fresedo – the longest recording career of any tango musician. But what is romance, anyway? With each shift in his style, Fresedo gives a different answer, with a different balance between rhythm and melody. We’ll learn about these different styles and about Fresedo’s unique and subtle sense of phrase which does so much to make him tango’s master of romance.
